NEW DELHI -- Authorities in India's eastern state of Odisha have issued an advisory urging restricted supply of chickens after an outbreak of avian flu near the state capital Bhubaneswar, officials said Thursday.
"We received the information regarding the spread of bird flu near Bhubaneswar. So, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued an advisory, wherein it has been strictly instructed that no poultry or related items will be allowed inside the city limits," Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das told media. JAKARTA -- Indonesia kicked off on Thursday the two-day International Sustainability Forum (ISF) in Jakarta, gathering state leaders, decision-makers, CEOs and sustainability experts from 53 countries to build collaboration for green energy transition agenda.

SEOUL -- South Korea's revised real gross domestic product (GDP), adjusted for inflation, was down 0.2 percent in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter, central bank data showed Thursday.

TOKYO -- Japanese workers' real wages in July climbed 0.4 percent from a year earlier, rising for the second consecutive month, boosted by summertime bonus payments, government data showed Thursday.
Nominal wages, the average monthly cash earnings per worker including base pay, overtime and bonuses, grew 3.6 percent to 403,490 yen (about 2,800 U.S. dollars), marking 31 straight months of increase, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare reported. (Japan-Real Wage) Enditem
