JAKARTA, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia and Papua New Guinea on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote political dialogue between the two countries' parliaments.

The MoU was signed during a bilateral meeting between Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani and Speaker of the Papua New Guinea Parliament Job Pomat in Jakarta.

"This allows both countries to discuss various issues, including parliamentary cooperation, economic collaboration, and border cooperation," said Puan.

She hopes the MoU will maintain good relations and enhance cooperation between the neighboring countries in all fields, including trade and security. Enditem
