TOKYO -- Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on Thursday dismissed media reports that the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) was financially supporting politicians who are running in Sunday's general election without party endorsement due to their involvement in the LDP's slush funds scandal.

HANOI -- Vietnam's economy is projected to grow by 6.1 percent next year, according to the updated World Economic Outlook 2025 report by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

MANILA -- At least 22 people have been killed and nine others are missing due to massive flooding and landslides triggered by Tropical Storm Trami, which continues to rip through the Philippines on Thursday, authorities said.
