PHNOM PENH, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam Airlines has launched its non-stop flights between Cambodia's Phnom Penh and Vietnam's Hanoi, said its press release on Monday.

The inaugural flight took off from Phnom Penh International Airport on Sunday evening and landed at Noi Bai International Airport on the same day, the press release said, adding that the non-stop flying time is only 1 hour 55 minutes.

Currently, Vietnam Airlines is the only Vietnamese airline operating direct flights between Phnom Penh and Hanoi, it said, adding that previously, passengers wanting to fly from Hanoi to Phnom Penh needed to transit in Vientiane, Laos on the airline's trans-Indochina flight.

According to the press release, Vietnam Airlines will operate this route four times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays using Airbus A321. Enditem
