Cardiovascular disease responsible for 25 pct of deaths in Brunei: medical expert

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Twenty-five percent of deaths in Brunei Darussalam are due to cardiovascular disease, said Dr. Nadzir, deputy director of cardiac surgery at Gleneagles JPMC in Brunei.

According to the local daily Borneo Bulletin on Saturday, Dr. Nadzir delivered a keynote speech during the forum titled "The Secrets to a Healthy HEART."

The doctor also shared knowledge on several diseases related to the heart, including their causes, signs, symptoms, and preventive measures, according to the Borneo Bulletin.
