MEXICO CITY, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Monterrey scored five second-half goals on Saturday to cruise into Mexico's Liga MX final with a 5-1 home victory over San Luis.

Oliver Torres put the host ahead in the second leg of the semifinal with a 47th-minute strike and German Berterame doubled the lead shortly after.

The visitor reduced the deficit through Sebastien Salles-Lamonge's 75th-minute penalty, but Daniel Guillen gifted Monterrey a third goal seven minutes later when he inadvertently turned the ball into his own net.

Torres added a fourth goal by curling a free-kick into the top left corner and Brandon Vazquez completed the rout with a long-range effort after combining with Sergio Canales.

The result gave Monterrey a 6-3 victory on aggregate after San Luis' 2-1 win in the first leg.

Monterrey will play the winner of the other semifinal between Club America and Cruz Azul in the final. Enditem
