Libya approves 2025-2030 national anti-corruption strategy

TRIPOLI, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Libyan Prime Minister Abdul-Hamed Dbeibah approved the 2025-2030 National Strategy for Performance Control, Anti-Corruption, and Prevention on Monday, on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day, the government said in a statement.

The strategy aims to strengthen transparency and accountability in government institutions, develop oversight performance, reduce administrative and financial violations, and protect public funds to ensure sustainable development, the statement said.

Dbeibah stressed that approving the strategy represents a fundamental step towards fighting corruption and achieving social justice. He pointed out that all government procedures are subject to comprehensive oversight by all control agencies, to ensure transparency and manage public funds according to the highest standards, according to the statement.

He also said that protecting public funds and fighting corruption are top government priorities, as they have a direct impact on the stability of state institutions and the promotion of sustainable development. Enditem
