Brunei's university hosts Arabic language carnival

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) in Brunei launched the Arabic Language Carnival 2024, local media reported on Friday.

According to the local daily Borneo Bulletin, the event was organized by the Arabic Language Faculty of UNISSA to mark World Arabic Language Day and to recognize the importance of the Arabic language in Brunei.

The carnival featured an Arabic language speech competition, which was participated in by eight students from UNISSA and the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) in Brunei, the Borneo Bulletin reported.
