JALALABAD, Afghanistan -- Afghan security forces have foiled an attempt to smuggle 136 pieces of ancient coins to Pakistan in eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, a local official said Wednesday.

The coins, which date back to Greco-Bactrian and Kushan eras, were seized at Torkham border crossing point between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Provincial Director for Information and Culture Qurishi Badlon told Xinhua. (Afghanistan-Coin-Smuggling)

ISLAMABAD -- The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Pakistan in December 2024 declined to 4.1 percent every year, signaling ongoing stabilization in prices, according to official data released on Wednesday.
