MINSK, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Belarus attracted 6.9 billion U.S. dollars in foreign investment in 2024, Belarusian National Statistical Committee said on Wednesday.

The inflow of foreign direct investment amounted to 5.2 billion dollars, or 74.8 percent of all foreign investments received.

At the same time, Belarusian organizations sent 4.9 billion dollars of investments abroad, of which 80.8 percent accounted for direct investments, the committee said.

Belarusian Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar said on Wednesday that about a quarter of foreign investment in the Belarusian economy in 2024 came from Russia (24.9 percent), which is the biggest investor.
