HANOI, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's economy is expected to expand 6.8 percent in 2025 and 6.5 percent in 2026, according to the World Bank's latest biannual economic report Wednesday.

The 2025 growth forecast marks an upward revision from the bank's January projection of 6.6 percent.

The report said that Vietnam's economic recovery in 2024 has been driven by rebounding exports, fueled by robust global demand for technology products. However, the momentum was anticipated to moderate in 2025.

The Vietnamese government has set a target of achieving at least 8 percent economic growth in 2025 and double-digit expansion in subsequent years. Enditem
