KABUL, April 12 (Xinhua) -- At least two commuters lost their lives, and six others sustained injuries in separate traffic accidents in east Afghanistan's Ghazni province on Friday evening, the local media Tolonews reported on Saturday.

The first accident took place on a highway linking Kabul to southern Kandahar, as a car veered off the road, leaving two dead on the spot.

Similarly, in a traffic accident in the Moqar district of Ghazni, two vehicles overturned due to reckless driving, injuring six people, including women and children, with some in critical condition, the report said.

Highway officials have blamed reckless driving for the mishap, asserting that drivers' carelessness on congested roads often claimed commuters' lives. Enditem
