KABUL, April 13 (Xinhua) -- One commuter was killed and seven others injured as their car turned turtle on the highway linking Afghan capital Kabul to eastern Laghman province on Saturday, a news release of the provincial police office said Sunday.

Blaming reckless driving for the mishap, the news release added that the accident took place on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to seven others, including three children.

All the injured commuters, some in critical condition, have been taken to a nearby hospital.

Two similar mishaps claimed two lives and injured six others in eastern Ghazni province on Friday. Enditem
