RIYADH, April 13 (Xinhua) -- The second edition of the Human Capability Initiative (HCI) conference opened in Riyadh on Sunday, drawing global leaders, policymakers, and experts to address strategies for advancing human skills and resilience in a fast-changing world under the theme "Beyond Readiness."

The two-day event, organised by the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP) under the kingdom's Vision 2030 and the Ministry of Education, convened more than 300 participants from 38 countries, including academics, private-sector leaders, and nonprofit representatives, according to the state news agency SPA.

The conference will host over 100 panel discussions across four thematic stages, focusing on education innovation, labor market agility, and policy alignment. Key sessions include a ministerial roundtable with 20 global education chiefs and a UNESCO executive board meeting.

Saudi Arabia has prioritized human capital development under Vision 2030, aiming to enhance citizen competitiveness and reduce reliance on oil revenues. Enditem
