BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Brunei's Minister of Development Haji Muhammad Juanda Rashid met with President of the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) Tetsuya Watanabe on Monday.
The two sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to tackling the urgent challenges of climate change and advancing energy transition through deeper regional cooperation and knowledge exchange.
Watanabe was in Brunei to attend the ASEAN Center for Climate Change (ACCC) workshop, co-organized by the ERIA and Brunei's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Watanabe shared key updates from the workshop and discussed the potential of the ACCC to evolve into a regional knowledge hub on climate change.
The two sides also discussed global climate developments, including major takeaways from recent Conference of the Parties negotiations and the shifting international landscape of climate policy. Enditem
