LONDON -- U.S. President Donald Trump has encouraged Kiev to escalate deep strikes into Russian territory, even asking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky whether Moscow could be targeted if long-range weapons were supplied, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.

JAKARTA -- The search for 17 missing victims from a passenger ship that sank in Indonesia's Bali Strait on July 2 has been extended, according to Ribut Eko Suyanto, deputy for search and rescue operations at the National Search and Rescue Agency.

DAMASCUS -- Syrian defense authorities on Tuesday declared a complete ceasefire in the southern province of Sweida following days of deadly clashes between local Druze armed factions, Bedouin tribes, and the interim government's forces, according to the defense authorities' chief Murhaf Abu Qasra.
