SANAA -- Israeli warplanes launched a wave of airstrikes on Yemen's capital Sanaa on Sunday, targeting government and military sites, Houthi-run al-Masirah television reported.

Residents said the strikes hit the presidential palace, the Capital Secretariat, the state oil company building, fuel depots, and power stations in central, southern and southwestern parts of the city. LISBON -- Five people were killed on Sunday when a light vehicle crashed on a road in Monchique, Faro district, according to Portugal's civil protection command.

KABUL -- At least two people were killed and 12 others injured in two separate road accidents in eastern Afghanistan's Ghazni province, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported Sunday.
