TEHRAN -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday reaffirmed Iran's opposition to nuclear weapons during a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a statement by the Iranian Presidency.

Pezeshkian pledged to personally oversee the accelerated construction of the Rasht-Astara railway, a key link in the International North-South Transport Corridor connecting the Persian Gulf with Russia and Central Asia, along with other bilateral projects. (Iran-Russia-Talks)

KIEV -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced Monday that Ukrainian and U.S. teams will meet this week to explore the possibility of peace negotiations between Kiev and Moscow.

WINDHOEK -- Namibia's largest mobile operator, MTC, has launched fifth-generation (5G) telecom services to drive innovation and help bridge the digital divide.

Speaking at the launch Sunday during the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair, MTC Chief Technical and Information Officer Monica Nehemia said that the 5G network is now available in Ongwediva, Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, and the capital city of Windhoek, with nationwide rollout to follow in the coming months. JERUSALEM -- The Israeli military acknowledged targeting Nasser Hospital in Gaza on Monday and expressed regret that the strike resulted in civilian casualties.
