BEIJING -- As agreed by China and the United States, Chinese and U.S. teams will hold talks on TikTok and other issues in Spain, a spokesperson with the Ministry of Commerce said on Friday.

China's position on the TikTok issue is clear and consistent, the spokesperson said. China is firmly committed to safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of its enterprises and will handle the TikTok issue in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations. (US-China-Talks)

KATHMANDU -- Nepal's former chief justice Sushila Karki took office as the prime minister of the interim government on Friday evening following KP Sharma Oli's resignation on Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES -- Authorities in the U.S. state of Utah said Friday that 22-year-old Tyler Robinson was in custody in connection with the shooting of political activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University (UVU).

Robinson was apprehended in Washington County after relatives helped identify him from images released by investigators, Utah Governor Spencer Cox told a news briefing in northern Utah's Orem city. (US-Kirk-Suspect)

RAMALLAH -- The Israeli army on Friday pressed ahead with a large-scale military operation in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm for the second consecutive day, imposing tight restrictions on residents and carrying out arrests and searches, local sources said.
