KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia's Pavilion successfully concluded its run at the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) held last month in Nanning, China with total sales amounting to 376.14 million ringgit (89.4 million U.S. dollars), the country's external trade agency said on Thursday.
The Malaysia Pavilion, which comprised 70 exhibitors including eight ministries and agencies across various sectors, boosted their exposure and underscored the strong demand and growing opportunities for Malaysian products and services in the China-ASEAN market, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) said in a statement. HANOI -- Typhoon Bualoi, the 10th storm to hit Vietnam this year, together with ensuing floods and landslides, has left 49 people dead, 16 missing and 153 others injured, with preliminary economic losses estimated at nearly 12.8 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 518 million U.S. dollars), local daily newspaper Nhan Dan (People) reported Thursday.

ULAN BATOR -- Mongolia's National Agency for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring on Thursday issued a warning of strong winds, dust storms, rain and wet snow.
Strong winds and yellow dust storms are expected to hit large parts of Mongolia, including the country's southern Gobi desert provinces such as Umnugovi, Dundgovi and Dornogovi, from Friday to Saturday, with an average wind speed estimated at 14 to 16 meters per second, said the weather monitoring agency. NEW DELHI -- Authorities in two Indian states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have initiated a probe as eight children died after allegedly consuming contaminated cough syrups supplied by the government, officials said Thursday.
