ISLAMABAD -- Seven terrorists were killed during an operation of security forces in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, the military said on Friday.

MOSCOW/KIEV -- Russian forces launched a large-scale overnight strike against Ukraine's military-industrial complex and energy infrastructure, the Russian Defense Ministry said Friday.
The raid involved long-range precision weapons launched from land, air and sea, as well as combat drones, the ministry said in a statement.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 381 combat and decoy drones and 35 missiles during the attack, mainly targeting critical energy infrastructure facilities in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions. (Russia-Ukraine-Attack)

TEHRAN -- At least four people were killed and 30 others injured on Friday when a bus veered off an intercity road in Iran's northern Tehran province and plunged into a nearby valley, state-run IRIB news agency reported.
The incident occurred at 7:45 a.m. local time (04:15 GMT) on the road between the counties of Damavand and Firuzkuh, after which rescue teams were immediately sent to the scene, IRIB quoted Abolfazl Zamaninejad, governor of the Firuzkuh county, as saying. (Iran-Accident-Car)

JAKARTA -- The death toll from the collapse of a school building in Indonesia's East Java province has risen to eight, a senior rescue official said Friday.
