MEXICO CITY -- At least 37 people have been killed as torrential rains and landslides battered Mexico in recent days, the National Coordination of Civil Protection said Saturday.

KHARTOUM -- The Sudanese government on Saturday reported that a drone strike by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) killed 57 civilians at a temporary shelter in the western Sudanese city of El Fasher.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Saturday on Truth Social that he has directed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to "use all available funds" to ensure troops receive their pay on Oct. 15 amid the ongoing federal government shutdown.
