ISLAMABAD, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Two terrorists were killed and two others injured during an operation in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, police said on Sunday.
The incident took place on Saturday in the Hassan Khel area of Peshawar district of KP province, where terrorists attempted to attack a police station, said Capital City Police Officer Peshawar Mian Saeed in a statement.
He said police responded swiftly and engaged the attackers in a heavy exchange of fire that lasted for hours.
He said additional reinforcements were dispatched to the area to pursue the fleeing suspects. Enditem
