KABUL -- Afghanistan has exported fresh pomegranates to Russia via Torghundi port in western Herat province for the first time, spokesperson for the Afghan government announced on Monday.
"This process will create a substantial market for fruits, particularly pomegranates, thereby driving further advancements in the country's export sector," Zabihullah Mujahid posted on his social media platform X. (Afghanistan-Pomegranates)

COLOMBO -- Sri Lanka Customs' Narcotics Control Unit arrested an Indian national with 2.8 kilograms of heroin at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), the Department of Government Information said on Monday.

ISLAMABAD -- Six people, including five personnel of the paramilitary Levies Force, were injured in a bomb blast targeting the convoy of a senior government official in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Monday, local officials said.
