KHARTOUM -- At least 12 people, including children and women, were killed, and several others injured in drone strikes carried out by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeting two displacement centers in South Kordofan State, volunteer groups reported on Saturday.
"Yesterday (Friday) evening, the RSF launched a drone strike on a shelter center within the premises of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the city of Kadugli, killing five children," the Sudan Doctors Network, a volunteer group, said in a statement. TRIPOLI -- A total of 45 undocumented migrants were rescued off the coast of the eastern Libyan city of Tobruk, Libyan newspaper Al-Watan reported Saturday.
The migrants, identified as 23 Egyptian nationals and 22 Sudanese nationals on a rubber boat, were rescued by the Libyan Coast Guard about 222.2 km north of Tobruk, Al-Watan reported. (Libya-Migrants-Rescue)

MOSCOW -- Russia strongly condemns the United States for the excessive use of military force during counter-narcotics missions in the Caribbean, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Saturday.
Such actions violate both U.S. domestic and international law, Zakharova said, adding that the position is recognized by representatives of a number of countries and international organizations, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk.
