YANGON, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- A total of 126,562 malaria cases were detected and treated in Myanmar between January and August 2025, the state-owned Myanmar Radio and Television reported on Saturday.
The country is striving to eliminate malaria transmission by 2030 and has made significant progress in its control efforts over the past decade, the report said.
Between 2012 and 2021, malaria cases in Myanmar decreased by 88 percent, while fatalities dropped by 97 percent, it said. Enditem
