NICOSIA -- A strong earthquake registering 5.3 on the Richter scale struck Cyprus on Wednesday, causing some damage but no injuries, authorities said.

The Geological Survey Department reported that the tremor occurred at about 11:31 a.m. local time, with its epicenter located roughly 20 kilometers northeast of the western tourist city of Paphos, at a depth of 15 kilometers. (Cyprus-Earthquake)

LONDON -- Reform UK has said it will pull out of a BBC documentary about the party following a row over the broadcaster's editing of a speech by U.S. President Donald Trump, the BBC reported on Wednesday.

The documentary, due to be called "The Rise of Reform" and air in January, was commissioned to October Films, an outside production company. The company was involved in a Panorama documentary about Trump, which has triggered a major row at the broadcaster. (UK-BBC-Trump)

COLOMBO -- Sri Lanka Customs has achieved its annual revenue target for 2025 more than one month ahead, a spokesperson for the department said on Wednesday.

Director of Customs and Media Spokesperson Chandana Punchihewa told reporters that the department had collected 2.117 trillion rupees (about 7.056 billion U.S. dollars) in revenue by Nov. 11, surpassing the annual target of 2.115 trillion rupees. (Sri Lanka-Customs-Revenue)

NEW DELHI -- At least two people died and around 20 were injured when a fire broke out inside a pharmaceutical factory in India's western state of Gujarat on Wednesday, confirmed the local police.

The incident took place at the factory located in Saykha GIDC area. All the victims were factory workers. Those injured were admitted to a local hospital. (India-Factory Fire) Enditem
