MOSCOW -- Russian forces struck multiple Ukraine-linked military targets using operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missiles and artillery over the past 24 hours, Russia's Defense Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

The ministry added that Russian forces had targeted sites across 153 locations in Ukraine, including energy infrastructure facilities powering Ukraine's military-industrial complex, fuel depots, as well as temporary deployment hubs for Ukrainian military units and foreign mercenaries. VLADIVOSTOK -- Russia and Venezuela are maintaining their strategic partnership and cooperation, Russian Ambassador to Venezuela Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov said Saturday following a meeting with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil.

ADEN, Yemen -- Yemen's Southern Transitional Council (STC) on Saturday dismissed reports of its dissolution as "fabricated and legally void," saying the claims were made under coercion and without any legitimate authority.

According to a statement posted on social media platform X, the STC said its National Assembly, Consultative Council and General Secretariat held an emergency meeting in the southern port city of Aden, accusing Saudi Arabia of detaining its negotiating delegation in Riyadh and forcing them to issue the dissolution statement under pressure. SEOUL -- South Korean President Lee Jae Myung on Saturday ordered a joint military-police probe into the possibility that the drone cited in the "drone infiltration" claim by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) was civilian-operated, warning that if confirmed, it would constitute a grave criminal offense, Yonhap News Agency reported.
