WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday he is "not happy" with the way the U.S.-Iran nuclear talks are going but has not made a final decision on potential military operations against Iran.

"I'm not happy with the fact that they're not willing to give us what we have to have. I'm not thrilled with that. We'll see what happens. We're talking later," Trump told reporters as he left the White House ahead of his trip to Texas. (US-Trump-Iran)

UNITED NATIONS -- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday called for an immediate cessation of hostilities between Afghanistan and Pakistan, his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said.

"I can tell you that the Secretary-General is deeply concerned by the escalation of violence between Afghanistan and Pakistan and the impact that violence is having on civilian populations," Dujarric told a daily briefing. (UN-Afghanistan-Pakistan)

KABUL -- At least 19 people were killed and 26 others injured in the eastern provinces of Khost and Paktika in Afghanistan following Afghanistan-Pakistan border clashes, Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Afghan government, said Friday on X.
