JERUSALEM -- The Israeli military has killed Abu al-Qassem Babayian, who had recently been appointed the head of Iran's Supreme Leader's military office, according to a statement released by the Israeli Defense Ministry on Sunday.

NAIROBI -- The death toll from flooding triggered by heavy overnight rainfall in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, has risen to 28, police said on Sunday, as rescue teams continue searching for survivors in several parts of the city.

BEIRUT -- At least 40 people were killed and an unspecified number wounded early Sunday in Israeli airstrikes targeting dozens of homes, government institutions and shops in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese security and official sources.
