ISTANBUL -- Türkiye will release 11.6 million barrels of crude oil from its strategic reserves as part of the International Energy Agency (IEA)'s largest-ever coordinated stockpile release, the country's energy minister said on Thursday.
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said a national oil stock committee had convened and approved the release, which will be carried out gradually over 90 days. (Türkiye-Oil reserve-Release)

BEIRUT -- The Israeli military announced on Thursday afternoon that it launched a new series of airstrikes in Beirut targeting Hezbollah targets.
Warnings were issued urging residents to evacuate specific buildings in the Bachoura and Zkak al-Blat areas before the strikes. The targeted building in the latter houses a branch of Al-Qard Al-Hassan, which Israel claims Hezbollah uses as a financial arm to fund weapons purchases and pay its fighters. (Lebanon-Israel-Strike)

JERUSALEM -- Israel's military chief ordered on Thursday to reinforce forces along the country's northern border with Lebanon, citing intensified rocket attacks from Lebanon toward northern Israel over the past day.
