PYONGYANG -- The Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Sunday reelected Kim Jong Un as president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Monday.

On the opening day of the first session of the 15th SPA, Jo Yong Won was elected as chairman of the Standing Committee of the SPA, and Pak Thae Song was elected as premier of the Cabinet, according to the KCNA. (DPRK-SPA)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that he had ordered the military to delay strikes on Iranian power plants and energy facilities for five days after what he called "productive" talks with Iran.

NEW YORK -- Two pilots were killed and dozens of others injured as an Air Canada Express flight collided with a fire truck when landing at New York's LaGuardia Airport late Sunday.

The plane, carrying 72 passengers and four crew members from Montreal, struck a fire truck from the Port Authority that was responding to a separate incident, said Kathryn Garcia, executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. (US-New York-Collision) Enditem
