ALMATY -- The third peacekeeping contingent of Kazakhstan's armed forces is being deployed to the Golan Heights, southwestern Syria, as part of the UN Disengagement Observer Force, the country's Defense Ministry said Tuesday.

MADRID -- Two people were killed and four others, including two minors, were seriously injured in a shooting late Monday in the southern Spanish city of El Ejido, local media reported.

Spain's Civil Guard received an emergency call at around 11:15 p.m. local time (2115 GMT) on Monday reporting gunfire near the El Canalillo area of El Ejido.
