BEIRUT -- Israeli airstrikes and shelling on several towns in southern Lebanon killed at least eight people and wounded several others on Thursday, while Hezbollah announced retaliatory attacks against Israeli military positions.

TEHRAN -- Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has issued a directive stressing that the country's stockpile of enriched uranium must not be transferred abroad, Reuters cited two senior Iranian sources as saying on Thursday.
It added that one of the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, "The supreme leader's directive, and the consensus within the establishment, is that the stockpile of enriched uranium should not leave the country." (Iran-US-Uranium)

RABAT -- At least 4 people were killed and 6 others injured after a residential building collapsed early Thursday in Morocco's central city of Fez, official news agency MAP reported.
