BUENOS AIRES, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Colombian forward Rafael Borre has returned to his former club River Plate after parting ways with Brazil's Internacional, the Argentine club said on Saturday.
The 30-year-old signed a deal that runs until December 2029 after River reportedly agreed to a transfer fee of 2.5 million U.S. dollars.
Borre made 149 appearances and scored 55 goals for River from 2017 to 2021, helping the club win the 2018 Copa Libertadores.
He is River's fifth new signing for the second half of the year, joining Nicolas Otamendi, Mauro Arambarri, Giovanni Gonzalez and Lucas Beltran.
The Buenos Aires club's next match will be a home Copa Argentina clash with Aldosivi on July 17. Enditem
