NEW DELHI -- The death toll in ongoing floods in India's northeastern state of Assam has risen to 94 and five people remain missing, officials said Thursday.
According to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, 2,459 villages across 25 districts were hit, and 1,172,504 people were affected due to floods in the state. (India-Flood)

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani security forces killed 12 terrorists in two intelligence-based operations in the southwest Balochistan province on Wednesday and Thursday, the military said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), six terrorists were killed in an operation in Washuk district on Wednesday after their movement was detected, while another six were killed during an exchange of fire in Mastung district on Thursday. (Pakistan-Military-Operation)

BANGKOK -- Thailand and Myanmar agreed on Thursday to step up cooperation on security, trade, energy, labor, and cross-border pollution and exchanged cooperation documents during an official visit by Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing.
