LONDON -- The remarks of U.S. President Donald Trump on the unification of Ireland and Britain's Northern Ireland have sparked strong opposition from Britain.
During a two-day visit to Ireland, Trump said on Saturday he would "love to see" the unification of Ireland and Britain's Northern Ireland.

STOCKHOLM -- Sweden's opposition bloc held a lead over the right-wing bloc in two exit polls released after voting ended in Sunday's parliamentary election.
Public broadcaster SVT's exit poll put the four opposition parties at 51.3 percent of the vote, against 46.8 percent for the four right-wing parties. A separate election-day survey by TV4 showed a similar picture, giving the opposition 51.3 percent and the right 47.0 percent. (Sweden-Elections)

MUSCAT/TEHRAN -- A meeting between Iran and Gulf states scheduled to take place in the Omani city of Salalah on Monday has been postponed, according to a social media post by Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi on Sunday.

BAGHDAD -- Two workers were killed and about 50 others injured on Sunday following an accidental ammonia gas leak at a fertilizer factory in southern Iraq's Basra province, Iraq's Civil Defense Directorate said in a statement.
