Mexican President gives national flag to Paralympics sportsmen

Mexican President Felipe Calderon on Friday gave the national flag to the Mexican sportsmen to compete at the 12th Paralympics Games of Beijing 2008.

Calderon requested the Paralympics sportsmen to place high the name of Mexico during the competitions, to take place from Sep. 6 to 17 in Beijing.

Saul Mendoza will be the flag bearer and he received the flag from Calderon, and he said that the government has supported the Paralympics sportsmen.

"It's necessary (to have) more promotion of the sports and the development of a bigger infrastructure," Calderon said.
