Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was sentenced to death by hanging on Sunday after being found guilty of crimes against humanity for the Dujail case.

Iraq's High Tribunal found Saddam Hussein guilty of crimes against humanity and sentenced him to death by hanging.

Saddam immediately cried "Long live Iraq. Long live the nation. God is greater than the occupiers."

Four guards escorted Saddam out of the courtroom after they cuffed him.

The court also sentenced three defendants to death penalty by hanging, Saddam Hussein, his cousin Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti and Saddam's chief judge Awad al-Bandar.
