Vanuatu President Begins China Visit

At the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao, Vanuatu's president Kalkot Mataskelekele arrived in Beijing on Sunday, kicking off his six-day state visit to China.
 
During the visit, Mataskelekele will meet with President Hu and China's top legislator Wu Bangguo. The two sides will exchange views on bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of common concern.
 
Besides Beijing, Mataskelekele will also visit Shaanxi province in the northwest and Shenzhen, a city in south Guangdong Province that neighbors Hong Kong.
