Chinese FM to attend talks on Iran nuclear issue

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will attend a six-nation foreign ministers' meeting on the Iranian nuclear issue in Berlin on Jan. 22, Chinese FM spokeswoman Jiang Yu announced on Saturday.

Jiang said China hopes the six parties can have a serious and objective estimate on the current Iranian nuclear issue at the meeting and strengthen diplomatic efforts, to promote the settlement of this issue.

The meeting will involve foreign ministers of China, the United States, Russia, Britain, France and Germany.
