RCSC launches 'buying means philanthropy' campaign
Adjust font size:

The Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) launches a campaign on Saturday, asking consumers to back charity donations by buying its branded goods.

The campaign, called "buying means philanthropy", encourages enterprises in China and overseas to make products under the RCSC's authorization and donate part of the profits to set up medical clinics in rural area to care for poverty-stricken farmers and children.

"Consumers do not have to donate extra money or goods, all they need to do is to buy the products they want and the contribution is there," said Wang Rupeng, secretary of RCSC.
