Bacteria found in imported fish
Adjust font size:

Pahtogenic bacteria have been found in two shipments of frozen Atlantic salmon imported in March, China's quality watchdog said yesterday.

More than 1.8 tons of salmon was imported from Norway by Metro Jinjiang Cash and Carry Co Ltd, a joint venture launched by Metro Group and Shanghai-based Jinjiang International Group. The salmon was found to contain a bacteria that could lead to vomiting, stomach ache, dehydration and low blood pressure. All the contaminated salmon has been destroyed.
