Regular users of China.org.cn will notice significant changes to our website today. The most noticeable change is to the look and feel of the site. We have adopted a new design to give the site a cleaner and simpler look that is easier to use and navigate.
We have also made significant enhancements to the content of the site. Most importantly we are inviting you, our readers, to share your news, opinions, and knowledge by contributing to our site using several new interactive features.
Our new China Wiki gives you the opportunity to contribute to building a rich account of China's culture, history and modernization. With sections on art, history, culture, politics and religion, we believe China Wiki will become an indispensable reference point for everyone interested in China. We invite all our readers to take part in building.
Sometimes searching the web either doesn't find the answer you are looking for, or finds too many answers. Our China Answers section lets you ask, and provide answers to, detailed and specific questions about China, from everyday issues to government policy. Whether you live in China, are planning a visit, or are just interested, this is the place to look for answers.
You can use our new interactive City Guide to plan trips, and tell us about your experiences, add travel tips, reviews and ratings. Did your hotel deserve its star rating? Is there a cheaper or quicker way from A to B? Let your fellow travelers know. The City Guide currently has in-depth information on 38 top destinations around China and, with your help, we intend to expand it to become the definitive online guide to traveling in China.
We have also greatly expanded our Opinion section and enlisted some of China's leading experts on domestic and foreign affairs to give you an insight into current thinking in China. But we are not only interested in expert opinion. We actively encourage our readers to submit their opinion articles for publication. To express shorter opinions you can continue to use the comments feature at the foot of each article, or join our readers' Forum.
We have always encouraged our readers to send us photos, videos and articles for publication, but the new site makes the process much simpler. Simply click on the submit pictures, submit video, or submit articles buttons and follow the instructions.
Our growing editorial team will, of course, continue to provide a top quality news service with breaking news, in-depth reports, and features covering politics, the economy, society, sports and entertainment in China and around the world.
