The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Monday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased by 0.1 percent to 99.012 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro was up to 1.1381 U.S. dollars from 1.1360 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound increased to 1.3562 dollars from 1.3531 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 142.77 Japanese yen, higher than 142.52 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar was down to 0.8208 Swiss francs from 0.8209 Swiss francs, and it climbed to 1.3736 Canadian dollars from 1.3721 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar fell to 9.5163 Swedish Kronor from 9.5164 Swedish Kronor.
