China's Xizang autonomous region has achieved remarkable economic growth since its establishment six decades ago. In 2024, its GDP reached 276.5 billion yuan (US$39.5 billion), a staggering 155 times that of 1965 when adjusted for inflation, marking an average annual growth rate of 8.9%. This year, its GDP is expected to surpass 300 billion yuan.
