The 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will debut more than 190 new products and achievements, officials announced Wednesday. The event is set to take place in Beijing from Sept. 10-14.
At a press conference held by the State Council Information Office, officials said that preparations for the fair are largely complete.
More than 2,600 companies will participate, representing over 70 countries and international organizations, including nearly 500 Fortune Global 500 firms. Australia will serve as the guest country of honor with its largest delegation to date.
Now in its 12th year, the fair's theme is "Embrace Intelligent Technologies, Empower Trade in Services" and will feature exhibitions, forums and networking events emphasizing international participation and technology.
Key innovations include the world's first 3D-printed biodegradable polymer stent, the first 8K ultra-high-definition second-screen distribution platform and China's first quantum computer built for professional or commercial use that surpasses the 1,000-qubit mark. The fair will also highlight artificial intelligence applications and green technology.
Interactive features will include digital human guides, robotic baristas and ice cream-serving machines. The venue will also host art performances, cultural markets and sports competitions.
Unlike previous years when events were split between two venues, this year's fair will be held entirely at Shougang Park in Beijing's Shijingshan district.
More than 170 forums will feature over 200 speakers, including ministers, international organization leaders and ambassadors discussing topics from digital trade to sustainable tourism.
