Beijing Daxing airport eases clearance in bonded zone

A road connecting the port area and warehouses in the comprehensive bonded zone of Beijing Daxing International Airport opened for trial operations Tuesday.

The 1.64-kilometer road allows cargo to clear customs through a single checkpoint instead of two, cutting travel time to three minutes and boosting efficiency more than tenfold. The system will significantly streamline clearance, lower logistics costs and boost productivity, according to Boyue Logistics, the first company to use the route.

Authorities plan to work with related departments to further streamline clearance procedures and strengthen resource sharing between the port and bonded areas, to better meet industry development needs and enterprise demands.
