Teenager Alysson delivers derby winner for Gremio

Teenager Alysson struck a second-half winner as Gremio twice recovered from a goal down to clinch a 3-2 away win over Porto Alegre rivals Internacional in Brazil's Serie A on Sunday.

Alan Patrick put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot before Carlos Vinicius equalized with a glancing header.

Patrick converted another spot-kick but the visitors again responded through Andre Henrique, who nodded in from a corner on the stroke of halftime.

Alysson, a 62nd-minute replacement for Andre Henrique, scored moments after his introduction by completing a swift counterattack with a clinical finish past goalkeeper Sergio Rochet.

Both sides finished the match with 10 men after late red cards to Gremio's Arthur and Internacional's Alexandro Bernabei.

The result at Beira-Rio stadium leaves Gremio 12th in the 20-team standings with 28 points, one ahead of 13th-placed Internacional.

Elsewhere in Brazil's Serie A on Sunday, Sport prevailed 1-0 at home to Corinthians, Flamengo was held to a 1-1 home draw by Vasco da Gama, Mirassol won 2-0 at home to Juventude, Cruzeiro edged to a 2-1 home win over Bragantino and Santos won 1-0 at home to Sao Paulo.
