Xingtai Grand Canyon champions green conservation

Editor's note: Xingtai city in north China's Hebei province is forging a new path that integrates ecological beauty, industrial development, and enhancement of the quality of life for its residents. It is being guided by the principle of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets."

The Xingtai Grand Canyon embodies the region's dedication to environmental preservation. Situated 70 kilometers west of Xingtai city in the Taihang Mountains, this remarkable rocky complex comprises of 24 towering, steep walled canyons. Its striking red cliffs form a dramatic and picturesque setting, ideal for photography and sightseeing. Visitors can also discover waterfalls, flowing streams, ancient castle ruins, as well as the historic remains of the Eighth Route Army Arsenal nestled within the gorge.
